For many years, nuts have had a bad reputation because they are rich in fat. In reality, nuts should be an important part of our diet, since they are rich in simply unsaturated fats that help us keep our heart healthy and free of diseases. Healthy nuts are also a good source for protein, minerals and other life -promoting nutrients. Scientific studies now show that different types of nuts and seeds can support factors that help prevent heart diseases, weight gain and accumulation of LDL cholesterol.
