An appreciation of Louisa lust - teach naturopathy
In a company, it is often a couple who works together to achieve outstanding results. This was the case with Louisa Lust (1869-1925). The wife of famous naturopathy Benedict Lust has worked with him to open the American School of Naturopathy in New York.
Before the partnership, Louisa already had a name in the world of natural remedies and used time -honored traditions as:
o hydrotherapy
o vegetarian diet
o air and light baths
o rational lifestyle
The Louisa born in Germany studied the naturopathic methods of Rikli and Kuhne in London before moving to the USA. She founded a practice in the USA, but continued her studies at the Columbia Institute and married Benedict in 1901. Due to her 25-year partnership, naturopathy was established as a medical force with a sustainable effect in the USA. As a cook, she prepared delicious meals and wrote: Practical naturopathic vegetarian cookbook in 1907. She tells us:
o A large part of the food among Americans consists of white flour, sugar and butter. People who try to live from such things are gradually starving
o We extend our lives with an economical diet
o We shorten our lives by eating too much
O Feed the sick little, so that little digestive work is required
Louisa endeavors to emphasize the properties of a healthy home in which light, air, cleanliness and good nutrition keep a person healthy. She believed in common sense that "The Life Force Within" trusted. What people needed was:
o Freedom of fear
o mastery of hygiene
Louisa ensured that she knew the person and the treatments met their circumstances and experiences. Louisa believed that there was no better treatment than hydrotherapy and the use of water. When an acute illness occurs, use a steam bath and take a cool bath every day. She believed that fever was the crucial force to get rid of toxic fabrics and poison and not stop. It did not advise any solid food and the organs will cure the problem in a natural way. Louisa lust spent her life to help others. Your lessons are still valid today.
