Plant engines against child tumors: new hope of natural substances

hemangioma are vascular tumors that result from proliferation, i.e. the fast increase, endothel -like cells and represent the most common tumors in childhood. About 5-10% of newborns and toddlers are affected. In addition to hemangiomes that are definitely benign tumors despite their growth potential, there are other vascular tumors such as the hemangioendothelioma, which can show intermediate characteristics between benign hemangioms and highly malignant angiosarcomas.

The traditional therapy of these tumors can be restricted by serious side effects, high costs or traumatic influences. Nutrition plays a major role in preserving health, the prevention of diseases and their treatment. The therapeutic properties of edible berries, marine products or medical plants have long been known and have been used in traditional medicine; A plant -based diet can prevent the development and progression of diseases associated with extensive neovascularization.

The purpose of our review was to emphasize those natural treatments that patients with hemangiomes and vascular tumors can preserve in the future, for their benefits for themselves and their families. Our review was followed by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Metanalysis Statement. We used the web platforms Science, PubMed and Embase for the study and searched for the connection of hemangiomes to natural opathic treatments/plant extracts in published articles. We found that natural extracts from plants and fruits represent cost -effective and safe treatments for hemangiomas and vascular tumors as well as for other forms of cancer.

However, more in Vitro and Vivo Studies are required to confirm the proposed signal paths in the tumors and to validate the improvement parameters after the administration of natural products. The era of molecular targeted therapy and personalized medicine is approaching, and naturally occurring substances are very useful tools for the treatment and prevention of tumors. Plant extracts have a strong specificity and pertinence, are not toxic and have few side effects and could thus become an emerging cancer treatment.

basic terms and concepts:

  • endothelzellen: cells that line the inside of blood vessels.
  • proliferation: The quick increase in cells.
  • neovascularization: The formation of new blood vessels.
  • molecular targeted therapy: A form of treatment that specifically aims at changes in cancer cells that promote their growth.
  • Personalized medicine: A medical approach that takes into account the individual variability in genes, environment and lifestyle for each person.
  • in Vitro Studies: Experiments that are carried out in controlled environments outside of a living organism.
  • in Vivo Studies: Experiments that are carried out in living organisms.

natural extracts as effective and safe treatment for hemangiomas and vascular tumors

Research work provides a comprehensive overview of the potential role of natural extracts from plants and fruits in the treatment of hemangiomes and other vascular tumors. Hemangiomas, the most common tumors occurring in newborns and small children, result from proliferation endothelial cells. It distinguishes them from other vascular tumors, such as hemangioendotheliomes, which can have properties between benign hemangiomes and highly malignant angiosarcomas. The study aims to emphasize promising natural treatment methods for patients with hemangiomes and vascular tumors who could be advantageous for both those affected and their families.

The implementation of the review is based on the methodology of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (Prisma) statements. Databases such as Web of Science, Pubmed and Embase were used for the collection of relevant studies, with a specific focus on articles that address the association between hemangiomes and treatment with naturalopathic means/plant extracts. This systematic review provided that natural extracts represent cost -effective and secure option for the treatment of hemangiomes and vascular tumors as well as other types of cancer. However, the study emphasizes that further in vitro and in vivo studies are required to confirm the proposed signal paths in the tumors and to validate the improvement parameters after the administration of natural products.

In the age of molecular targeted therapy and personalized medicine, of course, substances are increasingly becoming increasingly important for tumor treatment and prevention. In particular, plant extracts are characterized by their strong specificity and relevance, their non -toxicity and low side effects and could thus establish themselves as a promising option in cancer therapy.

It becomes clear that the use of natural extracts in the treatment of hemangiomes and other vascular tumors is based on a sound understanding of the underlying molecular mechanisms and the development promotes more effective, safe and patient -friendly therapy approaches.
