Treatment and recovery:
Because of her proactive approach, Aubrie was able to detect her cancer at an early stage. She underwent surgery to remove her thyroid and four lymph nodes. She may also need to take a radiation pill to reduce the risk of recurrence. Doctors will continue to monitor her closely.
