If you can't afford healthcare

There is a big difference between healthcare and nursing.

Your insurance pays for your health care. This is what happens when you get sick and doctors run tests, give medication, or operate.

Healthcare is everything else. It's about choosing good foods because good foods support your body. It chooses massage and bodywork because it keeps you supple and pain-free. It's exercise because it moves your body.

Healthcare is everything that supports life. It's a standard of living that means you can do what you want, when you want.

Nursing is profitable, health care is not. Care for the sick costs you a lot of money, health costs little.

The average person pays about $400 per month for health insurance (about $900 if your company pays it, now see why you didn't get that increase?). It is estimated that the cost will be between $1,200 and $2,000 by 2020.

Unfortunately, this means that health insurance coverage extends beyond almost all households. And Medicaid cuts more treatments, medications and procedures every day. Medicare is almost gone.

So instead of being sick, be healthy. Choose massage and chiropractic care for $35 per session. This can save you pain, lost work time and medication costs. Herbal sessions are often cheaper. I have worked with people and their herbs cost them less than $20 a month. But just the co-payments from the prescriptions would have been over $100 per month.

This goes far beyond feeling good. If you are not careful now and wait to get sick, you are a high risk patient and client. If we turn to a system where we pay for what we need, waiting and expecting the government to take care of us will only result in no care at all.

Choosing to be healthy now and using alternatives will help you delay problems, eliminate lifestyle illnesses, and make more choices later. You can choose your life.

And I use these alternatives myself. I go to the doctor once a year when I need my body (on the other hand, my doctor also told me that I am so healthy that they had to scare me away from seeing the sick ones). I use exercise, food, massage, chiropractic care and herbs to maintain my health.

At some point we are faced with a choice: health care or nursing care. Choose health now and avoid illness later.
