A friend asked me if my yeast infections are there almost 100% of the time. She feels like she's the only person who's been through this, but it's a relief to know she's not alone. She also asked two questions: 1) How long should you shower with tea tree oil? 2) Is there a special allergy test? Well, I had the infection 100% the whole time and it was so stressful! A friend asked me if my yeast infections are there almost 100% of the time. She feels like she's the only person who's been through this, but it's a relief to know she's not alone. She also asked two questions:

1) How long should you shower with tea tree oil?

2) Is there a special allergy test?

Well, I had the infection 100% the whole time and it was so stressful! The other thing I have to mention is that you may want to be tested for diabetes and hypoglycemia. Chronic yeast infections can also be a sign of blood sugar problems, which can also be caused by candida. This is especially the case if your family has blood sugar problems like mine.

As for the tea tree oil, I personally used it once or twice a week for about a month. You may want to ask a naturopath about what would be right for you. I also bought the depots at the health food store and that seemed to help too.

As for the allergy test, the sage test was the one I did, but I think there are other tests you can do. You could of course do this yourself, but it would take a lot of time and planning. The test I did tests 50-100 common foods and tests for delayed reaction, meaning you'll find a problem a few hours to a day later that's harder to detect. I was blown away when I found out I was allergic to spinach! There were some other good things to know. When I stopped eating them, the yeast pretty much stopped. I find it funny that the yeast is now my indicator that when I eat something bad my body says “no way!”
