Sinus Pressure and Drainage - An Herb That Can Help You
For thousands of years, herbs have been used by many civilizations as the gold standard for healing. In the Americas, herbs are not yet widespread, apart from the native citizens and a few others. Once considered by many to be part of local folklore, however, this perception is rapidly changing. Take Germany, for example, and its Commission E report. Several years ago, the government of this premier nation, recognizing the medicinal and healing potential of some herbs, established Commission E, as is commonly known, to study herbs in this context.
This study group used the “scientific approach” to fulfill its responsibilities. A few years later, Commission E's monographs were published, but of course in German. Not long after, however, they were translated into English and I had the opportunity and pleasure to purchase a copy shortly thereafter. The entity behind this English version is the American Botanical Council in Austin, Texas.
I'm going to look at just one herb in this article that I've been using to treat some of my own sinus problems for a few years now, and continue to do so today at the first sign that one of them wants to rear its ugly head again. First a caveat: Please remember when using herbs:
That's correct. I didn't make a mistake. It is garlic, but not as a savory, very hot, tongue-biting cooking herb, but as a medicinal herb. I have studied and used it for years and the more I do, the more I am amazed at its healing properties. Let me give you a quick introduction – which is a bit beyond the scope of this article:
- Es hat eine starke antibakterielle und entzündungshemmende Wirkung
- Senkt den Bluthochdruck
- Tötet Erkältungs- und Grippekeime ab
- Verhindert Herzinfarkte
- Kämpfe: Anämie, Diabetes, Hypoglykämie, Akne, Verstopfung, Krebs
- Unterstützt das Immunsystem nachdrücklich
- Es ist eine Art „Antibiotikum“ der Natur
It is the last two properties of garlic that are of interest to you - of course, you may have other diseases included in the list above. In this case, the low and spicy onion might even be of greater interest to you. Whether you are prone to sinusitis or sinus pressure, congestion, drainage, sinus headaches, sinus infection, especially the latter, you can prevent a serious infection or stop one that has just started. Garlic must be used early in the suspected infection to be effective as a sinus infection fighter or preventer. If you wait to see what will happen before using it, it may be too late. Since there are no side effects - other than the peculiar smell - it is best to do this as the costs etc. more than outweigh the potential benefits. By the way, the smell factor can be neutralized by chewing and eating a few sprigs of parsley.
The active ingredient in garlic isAllicin. It is only made when the cloves are crushed or crushed. Today it is possible to buy allicin from almost any herbal supplier or from a health food store. I buy mine over the internet so it's significantly cheaper.
If you do your own research on this lowly but powerful healing pear, you too may become amazed and become a regular user.
