What is the worst case scenario for bird flu or how bad could it get? A question I always wanted the answer to. Well, history is always the best teacher and we have an excellent history teacher from 1918. The answer there is the bird flu of 1918 and that teacher is a premonition. Called waterfowl flu, which actually started in China (sounds familiar) and then somehow got to Kansas, not Europe. Isn't that interesting? These cavalry soldiers were shipped to the battlefields of Europe to take part in the fighting. Some of these soldiers arrived infected with the virus. This flu circulated in the crowded cities of Europe, then returned to America and did the same thing there. In just over a year it had run its course and 40 to 50 million people were dead.

In 1918, major cities like London had a million inhabitants. Today our megacities have more than 10 million inhabitants and a very fast transport system. Any new bird flu virus can be transmitted to infected people around the world within a few days.

Why can't modern medicine help us?

Until today's bird flu virus mutates into its human infectious form, no scientific steps can be taken to create a serum. Only then can science develop the serum and produce large quantities. This takes a lot of time and fertile chicken eggs and there aren't many of them. Under optimal conditions, modern science lasts at least 6 months. Remember I just said it only takes days to spread the virus around the world. Even if all pharmaceutical companies around the world made this serum, only a small portion of the world's population would be protected. I hate to make this sound any worse, but the virus can also mutate into other human forms of infection and other serums need to be developed.

The herbal solution to a bird flu epidemic

You can see how bad it can get and how little modern medicine can do. There has been little progress since 1918. So what can be done to protect yourself and your family? Here's the answer that's been around forever. Olive leaf tincture is the answer to bird flu and all other germs and viral infections. But don't take my word for it, here is part of the history of this very powerful herb and what modern science has found when they looked at it.

History of Olive Leaf as Herbal Medicine

I personally believe that God was referring to the olive tree in Ezekiel 47:12. God spoke of a tree: “The fruit thereof shall be for flesh, and the leaf thereof shall be for medicine.”

The ancient Egyptians may have been the first to put the olive leaf into practice. They viewed it as a symbol of heavenly power, and in accordance with this belief, they extracted its oil and used it to mummify their kings. The Egyptians and later cultures also found, and there is documentation, that olive leaf was a great herbal medicine for relieving fevers (sounds like viral infections to me).

Knowledge of the medicinal properties of the tree (Olea europaea) dates back to the early 19th century, when it was used in liquid form as a very effective treatment for malaria infections. According to the 1854 Pharmaceutical Journal of Provincial Transactions, pages 353 and 354 (a), physicians of the time stated that the properties of the Olea europaea tree merited further study.

In the early 1900s, a bitter compound called “oleuropein” was found in the leaves of certain olive trees. This compound has been found to be part of the olive tree's strong disease-resistant structure. In 1962, European researchers found that oleuropein could lower blood pressure in animals, increase blood flow in the coronary arteries, relieve arrhythmias, and prevent intestinal muscle spasms. A Dutch researcher found that the chemical responsible for the healing properties of olive leaves is elenolic acid, which has powerful antiviral, bacterial and antiparasitic properties.

Modern medicine finds olive leaf to be a powerful medicine

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, test studies by the Upjohn Companies were published by the American Society for Microbiology regarding a new multifunctional monoterpene that they had isolated from various parts of the olive tree. The compound was called calcium elenolate, a crystalline salt form of elenolic acid. When they tested this compound, it was found to be virucidal against all viruses it was tested against. The compound worked effectively at low concentrations without damaging host cell mechanisms. It has also been found to be extremely safe and non-toxic, even at high doses. While it worked very well in vitro, it was not successful in vitro. When injected into the bloodstream, the compound quickly bound to the blood serum protein and rendered itself ineffective. They were unable to solve this problem and stopped their research. During the same period, other companies became interested in the compound and conducted various tests, but also lost interest. In 1990 interest was renewed and the process of bringing to market the remarkable product Olive Leaf Extract began.

A safety study of calcium elenolate was tested in the laboratory on animals and published by The Upjohn Company in 1970. The study concluded that no toxic or other adverse side effects occurred even at doses several hundred times higher than recommended.

Recent Australian studies show that liquid olive leaf extract from fresh olive leaves contains up to 40 times more antioxidants than even the best extra virgin olive oils. The same fresh olive leaf extract also has 5 times more antioxidant power than vitamin C, 28 times more antioxidant power than noni juices and 6 times more than goji juices.

The power of olive leaves

Effective against fever and helpful for nervous tension; great immune booster and viral/bacterial killer. The researchers attribute the olive leaf compound's broad killing power to a number of unique properties: the ability to disrupt the production of critical amino acids essential to viruses, the ability to contain viral infections and/or spread by inactivating viruses or by preventing viral budding or assembly at the cell membrane, and the ability to directly penetrate infected cells and stop viral replication in the case of retroviruses. It is able to neutralize the production of reverse transcriptase and protease (an enzyme found in retroviruses that allows the virus to make DNA from viral RNA). These enzymes are essential for a retrovirus like HIV to modify the RNA of a healthy cell. It can stimulate phagocytosis, an immune system response in which immune cells ingest harmful microorganisms and foreign bodies.

Die-off syndrome

There are no negative side effects with olive leaf extract, but it does have a healthy side effect called the Herxheimer or “Die-Off” effect. The following occurs during a die-off effect. There are microbes or viruses in the body that somehow manage to evade the body's immune system. When exposed to olive leaf tincture, these microbes and viruses are destroyed, which is good for the person. After the death of the microbial virus, their cell wall proteins are absorbed by the weakened mucous membrane surrounding them. The body recognizes these as toxins and begins its natural processes to get rid of them. If the elimination system is present in numbers too large to handle, the individual may develop symptoms that include headache, swelling in the mouth, throat, sinuses, and lymphatics, skin rashes, fatigue, diarrhea, muscle/joint pain, or other influenza. like symptoms. The severity varies from person to person depending on the extent of their condition, the state of their immune and excretory systems, and consumption of olive leaf extract.

The death effect is desirable because it indicates that the body is being rid of these dangerous microbes and viruses. Anyone who experiences these unpleasant effects usually feels many times better than ever before.

If you feel the effects and want to minimize them, there are some simple things you can do. Many doctors recommend that a person consume plenty of water between uses of the product. Water keeps the lymphatic system and kidneys in order and better able to deal with the excess toxins. Another way to reduce the effects is to reduce the dose of tincture you take or taper off completely for a day or two before slowly increasing the dose again. It may take a few days to a week for the body to completely rid itself of the excess toxins.

Why olive leaf tincture?

A good question, and the answer makes common sense. Tinctures are made from the ground herb combined with pure grain alcohol. The alcohol acts as a solvent that extracts the active ingredients from the herb. The alcohol is then pressed out of the herb, all of the valuable herbal active ingredients are now in the alcohol, and the herbal pulp is discarded. This process can be done with one or more herbs. In an alcohol tincture form, the herbs are easily absorbed by the body to immediately begin the healing process such as killing germs or viruses.

dosage

There is no official dosage for taking olive leaf tincture, although it has been used and tested for thousands of years. The most popular amount for a maintenance dose is 2 drops filled twice daily on an empty stomach before meals. For conditions such as colds, flu, sinus infections and basic respiratory infections, the dose is 2 drops every 2 hours. For acute infections such as sore throat, swollen glands, fever, etc., it is recommended to fill 3 drops every 2 hours.

Safety of olive leaf tincture

From all information covering thousands of years of use by professional and non-professional individuals; Olive leaf tincture appears to be an extremely safe supplement that can effectively support the body in improving immune function and fighting infections caused by various microbes and viruses. To my knowledge and through my research, I have not found a single negative case using olive leaf tinctures.

durability

Alcohol acts as a preservative and if tinctures are stored in a cool, dark place they can last indefinitely. I have herbal tinctures that have lasted 15 years and were just as strong as when I first used them. As mentioned above, avoid heat, sunlight, and air, and your tinctures will retain their “just-picked” freshness for as long as you own them.

Caution:

Do not take olive leaves with antibiotics as they can be inactivated by olive leaves.

Do not take olive leaf with warfarin (Coumadin). This medication may cause internal bleeding.

Olive leaf naturally relaxes blood vessels and capillaries, which could increase the side effects of Coumadin.
