The Rake Philosophy - 10 Minutes to Total Mind-Body-Spirit Connection!

The way of the rake

Many years ago, in the southern regions of a far away land, there lived a man named Hewko. A poor man by providence, but rich in mind, body and soul.

“Relationships,” he would say, “are the true paths to spiritual wealth, peace of mind, and physical health.”

And,

“Relaxation is not for pillows, because pillows are not for relaxed people”!

He said many seemingly wise and yet enigmatic things. . . The disciples who sought him did not go further in wisdom than before. No more peace of mind than a rabbit in the wild who is afraid to venture out of its hole for fear of being eaten. No less confused and no more focused on their self-imposed task because they didn't act.

But they sought him out anyway, just as all seekers must seek someone other than themselves to “show” them the way!

The path of 'The Rake' clears all paths unclear due to the fallen leaves of time

And what about you, dear reader. . . Are you also seeking the spiritual healing that comes with the words of the Great Sage Hewko? Be of good cheer – the secret lies in the essence and foundation of The Rake! “The path of the rake,” as Hewko would say, “clears all paths obscured by the fallen leaves of time”; and I will share with you in a few words the philosophy of The Rake and how you can apply it today without further delay of peace for the mind, depth for the soul and life for the body.

“Just as the path of the forest is obscured by the leaves that fall upon it…so our minds are obscured by the task that falls upon our minds.” Too much technology, too many business opportunities, too many bills to pay and just too many places and activities. We are overwhelmed, our minds are overloaded, we don't exercise, we don't sleep. . . we know what we have to do, but we don't know!

Meditation is a straw that eludes one's grasp; Yoga is an exercise of mind and body that is not always satisfactory; Crystals are discussed, shelved and forgotten; and when conventional medicine feels sluggish, offers no cure – we look for “holistic” and/or “alternative medicines” just to find more “alternatives” to the “alternatives”! and spirit... but you have tofirstDevelop the discipline The Rake!

The mind-body-spirit connection is connected to the earth. . .

All religions teach the importance of connecting spirits to earth. The Bible says in the creation story of Genesis: “With toil and toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life.” Man constantly shirks his duty as a “husband” of the country and wonders why he feels so lethargic. The sowing and harvesting of years past is becoming increasingly distant from the lives of modern people. Hewko says: “Reach into the soil of your own garden and grow something”!

The path of the rake is none other than the rake you can buy at the local hardware store. . . Take the rake in your hand and touch the earth!Mind, body and soul come together in this one simple actionand you are centered, balanced and whole. The rake is literal, but only part of it. Cultivate the earth, plant the seeds and help them grow! The law of sowing and reaping has always been taught through the sowing of seeds and is the basis of all business and romance.

If you can't find your way around religion. . . Rake! When you're not quite able to keep your wits about you. . . Rake! When you are overwhelmed with bills, business and the worries of this world. . . Rake!

Unplug your TV and computer, go outside and touch the ground. Today's modern man allocates these essential, life-giving energies to other men who view these God-given privileges as nothing more than a 9-5 JOB and for some years without rolling in the hay?

The man of religious conviction who studies the Bible and yet avoids his “curse” can no more expect God to answer his prayers than he can expect tomatoes to grow where he has not prepared the ground. Back to the land should be our motto. Homegrown should be the description of the vegetables on our table. And the law of sowing and reaping should be the first law written on our hearts. . . Mind, body and soul begin where the lettuce grows.

Hewko's last words

"Use The Rake to clear the leaves from the path of your mind! Touch the earth and the earth will touch you.
