Before using a new Lenormand Oracle card deck, I recommend "cleaning" your deck from all energies and connecting it to your own energy. There are various ways to achieve this. An easy way to do this is to randomly distribute the cards to three piles; Assemble the deck; Mix it and repeat the process two or three times. It is a good idea to mix the deck in this way after reading, especially if you hand out the cards instead of pulling it. This ensures that the cards are interrupted between the individual readings.

Two of the "People" cards have a special meaning. The gentleman and the Lady represent the questioner or the male or female person for whom the oracle is consulted. These cards can also be used to present the problem or question of the searcher in some layouts; For example, the card that is most connected to the topic can be used - the heart for a question about love, the ship about travel and fish via money, etc. The card that is used to present the concern or the topic will be "significant" or "key card."

If your layout requires a significant that is positioned in a certain location, opt for a card you want to use as a significant and remove it from the stack and put it off in front of you. Usually this card is placed in the middle of the spread.

Now it is time to mix the cards before the layout is distributed. Mix the cards either (but not with the meat mixer of the card player) or put them out on a table and mix them around. When mixing the cards, focus on the questioner or the problem of the questioner. Do not hurry with this mixing, it's time for you to handle the cards and connect with them. Stop mixing when it feels right.

Next, cut the cards either with a single cut or in three stacks, which you then put together again, still concentrating on the question or the problem of the questioner. If you use a significator, remember to place it in the middle of the table. You can now either hand out cards or pull cards to create your layout. I personally tend to pull cards for small layouts, but to distribute the cards for the full 36 card layouts.

To pull cards, take the stack and spread it out so that the cards are easily placed over the table in the form of a band or compartment. Pull cards from the subject with your left hand (the hand that is closest to the heart). Let yourself be guided by your intuition when pulling the cards - choose the card that "feels right".

If you hand out the cards, you can either place them open or hidden to the corresponding area in your layout. When you pull the cards, you have to keep them hidden until the layout is finished. This is intended to prevent emotions, whether positive or negative, which you feel when you see a card, influence the subsequent draws.

As soon as the layout is finished, turn on the cards to start reading!
