Do you skip breakfast in the morning because you're busy?
If you're feeling overwhelmed by your schedule and constantly rushing from one appointment to the next, skipping breakfast altogether is an incredibly popular decision. Mornings can really be a race where we feel like we're constantly losing. I understand the reasons for feeling like there is no time for breakfast.
After all, when you're already rushing around in a race against the clock, finding an opportunity to sit down to breakfast above all else seems impossible.
I was there too. We've all been through this. I certainly sensed your confusion and frustration. I'm sure your mom told you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but in case you needed a reminder...it's time to stop skipping breakfast!
Breakfast improves concentration, memory and even mood. Finding an easy, healthy breakfast that works for your busy schedule is easy, and I'm going to show you how - so no more excuses to skip breakfast.
But really – it’s important to find time to eat breakfast. You've gone all night without eating and need to fuel your body for the next day. Breakfast is the perfect time to get the important vitamins and nutrients your body needs to function well throughout the day.
Here are some of my favorite healthy and easy breakfast ideas that fit perfectly into a busy schedule...
Toast with avocado and an egg. This breakfast tastes good and can be prepared in just a few minutes. The avocado is full of healthy fats and the egg gives you some protein you need to fuel your body for the day.
Fruit, nut and yogurt parfait. There are delicious plant-based yogurts you need to try if you haven't already - look for local brands in your area. You simply layer on some yogurt, nuts, fruit, nut butter, and honey to create a delicious breakfast full of healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals.
Make-Ahead Breakfast Mini Muffins. If you absolutely don't have time in the morning, prepare it ahead of time and even take it with you. Simply beat some egg, spinach, and other veggies into the muffin tins, bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, and you're ready to go.
Overnight chia.Put oats, chia seeds, honey and some nut milk in a glass and leave in the fridge overnight. You can add other ingredients that you want to prepare according to your taste, such as: E.g. cocoa powder, blueberries or peanut butter.
Don't overcomplicate it - that's exactly what causes the feeling of overwhelm that keeps you from eating breakfast every day. Get your healthy diet in so you feel good all day long.
