Holistic healthcare - what and who
Baby boomers – those born between 1946 and 1964 – are the largest population group who need medical care more than ever. Doctors and pharmaceutical companies are focused on which pills, potions or surgeries baby boomer seniors are likely to use in the next 30 to 40 years. Ironically, most people tend to worry about their health after something important happens. The truth is, if we consistently take care of our health, the aging process has little impact.
Baby boomers express concern about better health more than previous generations. However, many do not know where to find information and options other than Traditional Western Medicine (TWM).
Few people research the plethora of side effects for prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medications—not to mention that prescription and over-the-counter medications are formulated to take over and hijack your body's biochemistry. Prescription and OTC medications force blood pressure to go lower/higher or force the liver to stop producing healthy cholesterol. In fact, prescription or over-the-counter medications disrupt normal human metabolism, and that is one of the reasons why prescription medications kill people. Yet conventional medical professionals rely on propaganda about the unknown side effects of holistic health care to convince people that only prescription or over-the-counter medications are safe. It's NOT that they're afraid of the side effects of holistic health care - they're afraid of people getting well, and it won't be their job to prescribe lifelong pills and potions. Western medicine is profit-oriented.
If everyone knew they could prevent illness and gain peace of mind with plant extracts, medicinal herbs, natural vitamins, minerals and nutritional supplements, the pharmaceutical and medical industries would collapse overnight.

The Journal of the American Medical Association Vol. 284 On July 26, 2000, he published an article documenting the tragedy of the Traditional Western Medicine (TWM) paradigm. The author, Dr. Barbara Starfield, of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, describes how the U.S. health care system can contribute to poor health. Doctors are the third leading cause of death in the United States, causing 250,000 deaths each year.
This information is a continuation of the December 1999 Institute of Medicine report, but it was difficult to reference the data because it was not in a peer-reviewed journal. It now appears in JAMA, the world's largest-circulation medical journal.
DEATHS PER YEAR:
1. 12,000 —– unnecessary operations
2. 7,000 —–medication errors in hospitals
3. 20,000 —-other errors in hospitals
4. 80,000 infections in hospitals
5. 106,000 – error-free, negative effects of medication
250,000 deaths per year from iatrogenic - deaths caused in a patient by a doctor's activity, manner or therapy, especially a complication of treatment causes - is outrageous!! Yet the majority of people continue to trust the medical profession to “cure” them, despite all evidence to the contrary.
Out of 13 countries in a recent comparison, the United States ranks 12th (second from bottom) on average for 16 available health indicators. The USA's ranking according to several indicators was:
o 13th (last) for low birth weight percentages
o 13. for neonatal mortality and total infant mortality 14
o 11. for post-neonatal mortality
o 13. for potentially lost years of life (excluding external causes)
o 11th for life expectancy at 1 year for women, 12th for men
o 10th for life expectancy at 15 years for women, 12th for men
o 10th for life expectancy at 40 years for women, 9th for men
o 7th for life expectancy at 65 years for women, 7th for men
o 3. for life expectancy at 80 years for women, 3. for men
o 10. for age-adjusted mortality
The poor performance of U.S. doctors was recently confirmed by a World Health Organization study that used different data and ranked the United States 15th out of 25 developed countries.
