January Intentions: Entering the Age of Aquarius
If you haven't heard yet (and I'm pretty sure you have...), we're moving into the Age of Aquarius in 2021, and things are going to change in a big way! As a sign of the air element, Aquarius brings an energy of lightness and clarity. The air element is associated with the sense of touch and language. January Intentions: Entering the Age of Aquarius
If you haven't heard yet (and I'm pretty sure you have...), we're moving into 2021Age of Aquarius, and things will change in a big way! As a sign of the air element, Aquarius brings an energy of lightness and clarity. The air element is associated with the sense of touch and language. Since 2020 was a year where both things were limited by social distancing, masks, and social isolation, 2021 could be the year we remember how important community and connection really are. The air element is also directly connected to the heart chakra orAnahata, represented by love for others and ourselves, compassion, truth, and openness, suggesting that 2021 is a year for aligning with your truth, speaking “from the heart,” and beginning a life guided by what your heart needs, not what your mind wants. Starting with our January intentions.
Many of us had the opportunity to reflect on our lives, our health and our minds in 2020. Are you living a life that you have truly enjoyed? Were there parts of yourself that you needed to love more? Were there aspects that you thought really needed to change? If you made some changes in 2020 - big or small - 2021 is the year to stay true to them and truly ingrain them into your being. This new energy shift invites us to release self-imposed rules and free ourselves from limiting beliefs about ourselves with our January intentions. Where are you holding back? What could you publish that no longer serves you? How could you be more? You?
This month's mantra:“I am true to myself and connected to my heart”
If 2020 forced us to get comfortable with discomfort and uncertainty, 2021 and our intentions in January are about approaching life with a sense of ease and non-attachment. Expect the unexpected and stay true to your values.
Perhaps most importantly, the theme of this time period in the Age of Aquarius is likely to revolve around love and community. Instead of life being about 'me, me, me', it will start to resemble 'we, we, we'. We've seen how harmful and ego-driven social media has become and how the race to become unique and individual has really only contributed to us feeling disconnected, anxious and lonely. While it doesn't always seem like 2020 was all about having a vision for 2020 and clarity, maybe even less than thatdidGive us insight and a clear understanding of where we really want to focus our energy for the next year. Big changes, true clarity and personal transformation are not always neatly packaged and easy to receive. They're often hard-earned, and in 2020 we've definitely gained that sense of clarity when it comes to what we really want in life and who we really are.
While it sounds a little “woo woo,” it’s pretty important to use our January intentions to reflect on your energetic state as we enter 2021. We are moving into an energetically powerful time and in a similar way to how the moon influences us - whether we feel good or bad, sad or happy, high mood or low -everythingwill probably be enlarged. If ever there was a time to cast aside the things that bring you down, it's now! Focus your January intentions on what brings you joy and what makes your heart sing.
Use your January intentions to gain a little more clarity and align with your truth as we enter this new age of understanding. Try journaling these reflective questions this new year and keep this month's mantra close to your heart.
- Fühle ich mich mit meiner Wahrheit verbunden?
- Folge ich meinem Herzen?
- Wo halte ich mich im Leben zurück?
- Welche drei Dinge sind für mich am wichtigsten?
- Was würde ich davon profitieren, jetzt loszulassen?
- Was bedeutet 2021 für mich?
