Body psychotherapy - questions about scientific validity - Part II
In Europe, all 15 questions of psychotherapy, which are to be recognized as "scientifically", have to answer 15 questions (see Part I of this article). In the United States, however, body psychotherapy is still considered wrong by many traditional psychotherapists. They do not recognize that body psychotherapists are uniquely trained and highly qualified practitioners who have sound knowledge of the connection between mind, body and mind.
Below you will find an answer to question 13.
13. Please provide evidence that your approach describes and shows and shows a coherent strategy for understanding human problems as well as an explicit relationship between treatment / intervention methods and results.
"Although every modality of body psychotherapy can use a different specific strategy, there are some elements that are common to the entire area.
- 1. Observation of the body to determine the physiological basics of neurotic and psychotic character structures and emotional pattern.
- 2. Touch the body in a certain way to solve body armor, to solve neuromuscular tensions and to promote fewer movement restrictions.
- 3. Triggering verbal reactions and emotional catharsis when the body releases habitual tension patterns associated with memories and mental blockages.
- 4th partnership between the practitioner of body psychotherapy and the client /patient of body psychotherapy in interpreting and evaluating the importance of verbal, emotional and imaginative reactions.
It is assumed that these strategies lead to greater wholeness and general integration, as can be seen for the following reasons:
- 5. Patients /patients of body psychotherapy develop a more coherent, more coherent and integrated self -confidence that can better deal with life.
- 6. Patients /patients of body psychotherapy gain control of their emotions, focus on their goals and fulfill life tasks with new energy, strength and self -confidence.
- 7. Learn to confront and treat their problems in body psychotherapy, to communicate authentically with peers, employees, friends and family and thereby build up more fulfilling and satisfactory relationships, including spell -safe and other intimate love relationships. "
These are just a few examples of how body psychotherapy understands human problems and develops coherent strategies for certain results.
