Maintaining a healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life
A healthy lifestyle includes all the components of a healthy life, eating foods that your body finds highly nutritious, exercising the body consistently, getting enough rest and sleep, drinking plenty of fresh water, etc. The real way to maintain this type of lifestyle is to take action in all of the above things on a consistent basis. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life
A healthy lifestyle includes all components of a healthy life, eating foods that your body finds highly nutritious, exercising the body consistently, getting enough rest and sleep, drinking plenty of fresh water, etc.
The real way to maintain this type of lifestyle is to take action on all of the things mentioned aboveconsistent basis. There is no point in eating just one healthy meal once in a while and eating frozen and processed foods the rest of the time. It just won't work for you. You have to eat good food all the time.
Yes, every now and then we all have ice cream or a pizza and that's okay. I am not advocating a permanent diet. In fact, eating healthy isn't like dieting, you don't count calories or measure food like that. It's more about giving your body what it needs than what you want.
Live by the motto:
“Eat to live – not live to eat”
Aside from food, your body also craves exercise, it is designed to exercise and exercise regularly. All the joints in your body, your knees, your elbows and your hips, were designed to move in a certain way. Pushing and pulling in all of these joints keeps your body healthy, not just the body but your joints and tendons healthy and if you exercise consistently well into old age they will stay healthy throughout your life.
Isn't that more important than looking good in the mirror? What's the point if you just want big biceps and six pack abs or if women are toned and in shape? Isn't it more important to stay healthy, keep your weight under control, and train your body the way it's meant to move for your entire life?
This is a healthy lifestyle,
It's not in shape for the summer.
Yes, I know everyone wants to look good in shorts or a swimsuit during the summer months, but it's better to have a life goal of staying in shape and building a strong, functional and balanced body and maintaining that body throughout your life, not just for the summer.
The biggest factor that will help you maintain this lifestyle is self-discipline. Have the discipline to eat the right foods, control your portion sizes, follow an exercise program, and keep going even when you don't feel like it.
Even if you feel a little tired and want to eat some chocolate and ice cream and take off your shoes and sit on the couch and watch TV, have the self-discipline to know that this will not move you toward your life goal of maintaining or moving toward a fully functioning and strong body.
This means that you need to make an effort every day, step by step and little by little. This makes you feel good, your self-esteem and self-image improve because you know that you are one of the few people on this planet who has the self-discipline to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
And of course, over time, the consistent action you take now and now will slowly show itself externally in your physical body. This means you will look toned and fit and strong all year round and year after year for the rest of your life, both men and women.
