One of the bacteria that lives in your mouth and causes gum inflammation is Helicobacter pylori or H. pylori. This bacteria is transmitted through kissing. Everyone has this bacteria in their mouth and stomach. You probably got this when you were a little boy and were kissed by your parents and all sorts of relatives.

When these bacteria enter your stomach and small intestine, they wait for an opportunity to multiply. Eating junk food, overeating, mixing foods incorrectly, using NASIDs, or experiencing constant stress creates excess stomach acid. This weakens the stomach lining and gives H. pylori the opportunity to embed itself in these weak areas and several.

So, how can you use natural remedies to relieve a stomach ulcer? There are two proven methods for doing this.

First you can use mastic.

In a recent issue of Life Enhancement Ezine this story appeared:

"My daughter was diagnosed with H. pylori. When her doctor insisted on giving her antibiotics, she refused and the doctor thought she was stupid for it. Instead, my daughter went on a Bye-Lori II course. After 4 weeks, she was tested again and her H. pylori levels had dropped significantly, showing a 50 percent decrease in the pathogen. Needless to say, her doctor was amazed. Mariann Hardington, Ontario.”

Bye-Lori II is a product that contains mastic. Pure mastic gum capsules are available. Mastic, a resin, comes from the sap of the mastic tree in the Mediterranean region.

The action of mastic in the stomach or intestines is to kill the H. pylori bacteria and reduce and heal ulcer inflammation.

Second, you can use Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice or DLG.

DLG is a natural product made from licorice root. Researchers have found that DLG is as effective in treating ulcers as using the drugs Tagament, Zantac, Prilosec or Prevacid.

DLG stimulates the release of secretin, which protects the lining of the stomach or intestines. In the past, antacids were used to self-treat ulcers. Because antacids have too much sodium, aluminum, and side effects like diarrhea, constipation, and increased stomach acid, it's best not to use them.

DLG comes in tablets that should be chewed or dissolved in the mouth. DGL is activated by saliva to produce chemicals that help regenerate cells in inflamed areas of your stomach and intestines.

A typical use for DLG is 750 to 1500 mg taken 30 minutes before meals. Application approx. 7 – 15 weeks.
