Naturopathy is an alternative healing method that identifies (a) toxicity and (b) stress as the primary cause of disease. However, naturopathy does not fear the disease, it welcomes it. Naturopaths believe that illness is the body's natural response to accumulated stress and toxins, which is to eliminate toxins and stress.
In fact, when you don't eat a healthy diet or are constantly sleep-deprived, your body's toxin and stress hormone levels become so acute that the body reacts suddenly and radically to release the toxins and stress (that's when you get sick).
Naturopathy never uses allopathic (pharmaceutical) medications because it is believed that this type of medication only suppresses symptoms.
