Salt rooms vs. salt caves
Artificial salt rooms are popping up across the country. Salt rooms vs. salt caves
Artificial salt rooms are popping up across the country. They are an inexpensive way to give the public a “taste of what real salt therapy is all about.” These artificial salt rooms are constructed by placing a metal grid on the wall and then mixing sea salt with synthetic resins and hand-applying the mixture onto the wall until all the rooms are covered. Some salt rooms also use this method on their ceilings. The bottom is covered with loose sea salt.
The room has a “sterile white.” To mitigate this appearance, many salt rooms place Himalayan salt lamps around the room. Some of the materials used to construct the room could become breeding grounds for bacteria.
With this in mind, halo generator manufacturers recommend treating the room with ultraviolet light after every 45-minute session to destroy any bacteria in the room.
Salt is introduced into the environment through the use of a machine called a halo generator. The Halo Generator has numerous metal blades that crush crushed salt and blow it into the air at high speeds with an audible sound. This method of distributing sodium chloride salt particle aerosol (approximately 0.3-0.5 microns) can accommodate a space of up to 300 square feet.
The construction of a salt cave is very different.
Salt caves are built from tons of imported large salt stones, natural resins, wood and water features that create a natural microclimate that is completely free of bacteria. Filled with negative ions, this sterile environment helps to relax and modulate the nervous system, freeing the body from the stresses of external stimuli and initiating healing and restoring balance.
Salt caves do not use halo generators or other mechanical or artificial means to “spray salt.” Salt oxidizes mechanical parts, which then spray unhealthy oxides into the environment. The salt in a cave regenerates and grows because the water features found in the cave provide the microclimate with a salt-saturated solution known as brine (pronounced so-LAY). This is the same solution found in the primordial oceans and in embryonic fluid.
This unique microclimate is enriched with 84 trace microelements, the same elements found in the human body. They are naturally absorbed by the human organism through breathing and the pores. When these elements are inhaled and absorbed into the body, the body's pH balances and returns to the healthy state of homeostasis. Water and salt are the essence of life. The result: body and mind are in perfect balance and you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and full of energy.
Research and studies have shown the positive value of the microclimate of salt caves in protecting our body against viral infections, balancing our immune system, increasing athletic performance and treating the following diseases:
(1) Respiratory tract infections: upper respiratory tract, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, obstructive pneumonia
(2) Cardiovascular diseases: hypotension, circulatory insufficiency, post-infarction period
(3) Diseases of the immune system: thyroid etc.
(4) Gastrointestinal diseases: colon inflammation, Crohn's disease, spastic colon and ulcerative colitis, constipation, malabsorption, gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer
(5) Skin diseases: acne, dermatitis, allergies, psoriasis, skin aging delay, wrinkle removal
(6) Diseases of the nervous system: chronic fatigue, panic attacks, migraines, improvement in the ability to concentrate.
Metabolism Disorders: Treatment of Obesity
As a drug-free treatment for asthma, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis (CF), and sinusitis, salt caves focus on the cause of the problem rather than just suppressing the symptoms like medications do. It is a drug-free solution that is free from side effects.
