Given efficient holistic treatment systems, why do so many people around the world die from kidney disease?

Naturopathy and the solution to kidney disease

Given efficient holistic treatment systems, why do so many people around the world die from kidney disease? In the United States alone, 10% of adults have chronic kidney disease (CKD), and some of them are not even aware of it. At first there are no warning symptoms. In the worst case, it can start with a feeling of tiredness or mild stomach pain, but these are often dismissed as irrelevant. Unfortunately, people only realize the seriousness of the situation when their condition becomes critical and they are taken to hospital.

CKD is not to be taken lightly. The main function of the kidney is to filter waste and toxins in the blood, so any deterioration in its function gradually poisons the body with excess toxins. Additionally, damaged kidneys release a hormone that increases blood pressure and can lead to heart disease. The final stage of the disease, also known as “end-stage renal failure,” occurs when about 90 percent of kidney function has been lost. In the United States, 38,000 people die from kidney disease every year.

Medical Science will recommend dialysis or an organ transplant. And both are not without problems. Dialysis leads to a severe decline in quality of life and depression. On the other hand, a kidney transplant involves a highly invasive procedure. Additionally, it is not uncommon for a patient's body to reject the new kidney. And if this doesn't happen, the anti-rejection drug is strong enough to cause unpleasant side effects that can lead to diabetes or cancer.

Conventional medicine, as practiced in Western countries, has a solid foundation. There are dedicated research teams and billions of dollars have been spent over the years to improve the quality of medicine available to humanity. Unfortunately, the results fall far short of expectations. However, there is a common misconception that only conventional medicine provides quick and effective results in treating diseases. There is no truth in that. Treatment that addresses the symptoms but not the cause cannot provide long-term solutions. Not surprisingly, illnesses are known to relapse without warning.

Diabetes accounts for nearly 44% of new cases of kidney disease and, even when controlled, can lead to chronic kidney disease and kidney failure. 24 million people in the United States have diabetes, and it is estimated that 180,000 people are living with kidney failure as a result of diabetes. Because most citizens are eligible for federal funding, patients with kidney failure cost the government $32 billion in 2005 alone.

What you're about to discover is that you can reverse impaired kidney function and avoid dialysis or transplant surgery altogether. All that is required is to follow a simple, step-by-step, holistic healing protocol. This kidney disease solution allows you to fuel and support your body with the vital nutrients it needs so your kidneys can actually heal. You don't have to believe doctors when they say that once your kidneys fail, there's little you can do about it. There are tens of thousands of people around the world who have seriously followed these protocols and claim improved kidney function and a better quality of life.

What few people know is that there has been a serious revival of the holistic health movement in the United States over the past thirty years. Since naturopathy favors an approach involving non-invasive surgery and medication, it is natural for a naturopath to reject biomedicine in the context of modern treatments. And the results were so encouraging that in 2009, 15 states, including D.C., granted licenses to naturopaths. Washington state went a step further by requiring insurance companies to reimburse patients for all payments for holistic treatments.

It is not surprising that today many young aspirants take courses that prepare them for all aspects of alternative and complementary medicine. As part of a variety of treatment modalities, naturopaths focus more on the concept of natural self-healing than on any specific method.

Duncan Capicchiano is a member of the Australian Natural Medicine Society and a naturopath known for his expertise in curing kidney problems. He says, "Today there are comprehensive nutrition plans that detail the exact foods you can eat and kidney repair tools ranging from ancient remedies to modern science. And they're all designed for you."

What else can you ask for?
