If you need to take a foot bath, drink a glass of warm water, sit on a chair, and lower your feet into a bucket of hot water. The water level should ideally reach your knees. The temperature of the water should not be too much higher than body temperature. As the water gets cold, add more and more hot water. Be careful that the hot water added later does not scald your feet.

Cover yourself with a blanket. Wrap it around your body; even if the bucket is covered, it will be fine. The head should be covered with a towel moistened with cold water. When the cold of the towel has evaporated, dip it in cold water, wring it out lightly and cover your head with it again.
