An appreciation of Rudolph Ballenine - holistic market leader in healthcare
My first encounter with Rudolph Ballenine took place during my naturopathic training in early 2000 at the Clayton College of Natural Health. The book was radical healing and changed my way of thinking about illness and healing. 600 pages of knowledge and experience have opened my eyes to the promise of holistic thinking.
Rudolph Ballenine was trained in psychiatry at Duke University; Later he founded the Center for Holistic Medicine in New York City and now leads it. He is one of the great contemporary flag bearers for healing traditions that are as old as humanity. Ballenine tells us that the oppression of symptoms is foolish, true healing causes profound changes and deeply healing deep inner patterns in spirit and body reorganized.
When reading Ballenine, I am reminded that the history of natural healing skills full of men and women is with visions and courage and that the balcony is not new, but centuries old. It is difficult to deal with this concept, because in today's world the word "new" is only a way to formulate whatever.
The use of natural medicine has something that tends to get us back into harmony with the rest of nature. The idea of the exercise is to heal by bringing all parts back into a coherent package from spirit, mind and body
Ballenine is a real miracle in natural health practice, he has written a number of books, is a doctor, psychiatrist, herbalist, Ayruveda practitioner, homeopath and teaches all of these techniques. Dr. Ballenine is a model for the alternative practitioner of the future.
books: radical healing, integration of the great therapeutic traditions of the world to create a new transformative medicine (2000) science of breath, a practical guide (2007) yoga and psychotherapy, the evolution of consciousness (with Swami Rama) (2007) Rudolph Ballenine is a great modern natural health guru. I appreciate his life and work.
