Sitz baths
In general, experts recommend that people with painful hemorrhoids sit in warm water for 15 minutes several times a day - especially after a bowel movement.
“This is one of the best treatments,” says Dr. Lipman. A sitz bath for hemorrhoids is usually available at the pharmacy. This small bowl fits directly over the toilet and provides a convenient way to soak and soothe the area. You can also simply sit in a bathtub filled with warm water.
Psyllium husks
Psyllium husk is a dietary supplement that increases fiber absorption and softens stools so they are easier to pass. Be careful not to increase fiber too quickly, as this can also cause bloating or stomach cramps.
"Use this to soften stools and make bowel movements more regular. If your stools are soft and pass easily, your hemorrhoids are more likely to resolve. Be sure to drink plenty of water when taking this remedy," says Dr. Lipman.
Aloe vera
The anti-inflammatory properties of aloe vera can help reduce the inflammation of hemorrhoids. Although there is no research specific to relieving hemorrhoids, it has been shown to be useful for other inflammatory skin conditions.

You may have also heard of these two supposed home remedies that can get rid of hemorrhoids quickly. “This is sheer nonsense and you should definitely avoid these products,” said Dr. Lipman.
Apple cider vinegar
Some patients claim that apple cider vinegar provides instant relief from hemorrhoids and reduces itching and pain.
“I advise against using this remedy as it can irritate the skin and worsen problems if used excessively,” says Dr. Lipman.
Tea tree oil
Some people claim that the antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of tea tree oil can reduce the swelling and itching caused by hemorrhoids. Some previous research has suggested that a gel made with tea tree oil relieves symptoms, but no studies are available. Dr. Lipman recommends not trying this remedy because it is not well studied.
Always consult your doctor before trying any home remedy, and stop attempting to treat hemorrhoids at home immediately if you experience any problems with the treatment.
Remember that to treat and prevent hemorrhoids, it is important to eat enough fiber (25 grams per day for women, 38 grams per day for men) and drink at least eight glasses of water per day. This diet change can make bowel movements easier and prevent the problem from recurring.
