This acid is caused by a high protein diet and processed foods. There are studies that show that goji berry may have alkalizing properties, meaning it neutralizes the acids in your body.

When treating my arthritis patients, I have recommended using arthritis remedies such as goji berry juice and have had great results. These natural arthritis remedies usually help the patient by reducing inflammation and/or acidity. The goji berry is said to alleviate both.

Other natural remedies for arthritis include omega-3 fatty acids. These acids are found in cold-water fish such as salmon, herring and sardines. You can also find omega-3 fatty acids in some nuts or seeds like flaxseed. Fatty acids like these are essential to the health and function of our bodies, but we cannot produce them ourselves, so it is important to include foods containing them in our diet. Omega-3 fatty acids are used as a natural remedy for arthritis because they help reduce inflammation.

Omega-3 fatty acids can be divided into three types: ALA (a-linolenic acid), EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Your body benefits most from the fatty acids EPA and DHA. These acids have been shown in extensive research to reduce inflammation and the risk factors associated with other chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer and arthritis.

Unfortunately, Americans don't eat nearly enough foods containing omega-3s. We usually only eat a fraction of the recommended amounts. It is recommended that omega-3 fatty acids take up 1/4 to 1/2 of our fat intake. Our diet is largely filled with omega-6 fatty acids, which are also essential, but when consumed in excess can cause inflammation instead of preventing or reducing it. Omega-6 fatty acids are commonly found in safflower, sunflower, corn, sesame, walnut and evening primrose oils.

If you have been looking for natural remedies for arthritis, I recommend you start by taking goji berry juice and a pure, pharmaceutical-grade omega-3 supplement. This will help reduce your inflammation. Make sure your omega-3 supplement contains the correct ratio of EPA and DHA. The recommended dosage for adults is 1-3 grams of EPA and DHA daily. You may have to wait 2-3 weeks to notice results, but when you do, the wait will be worth it.
