6 effective home remedies for gray hair
I've met people in their early twenties who were graying at an alarming rate. You can't just blame it on genes; after all, what you inherited from your ancestors isn't the only cause.
There are a number of factors that lead to prematurely gray hair. The first and most important is an unbalanced diet. If your diet consists of fast food, dishes made from white flour, carbonated drinks and sugar, you have no chance of healthy skin and hair. A rice diet with B12, iron and omega-3 fatty acids is important. For your skin and hair, you should include plenty of fresh salad, lean meats such as fish and chicken, fruits and green vegetables in your daily diet. As for drinks, you should limit alcohol consumption and opt for coconut water, lemon water, chaach or fresh fruit juices.
Our life today is also filled with stress. It's almost as if there is no escape. But you need to find ways to relax and refresh your mind. You can listen to soothing music, pursue a hobby, meditate, exercise, do yoga, or anything else that lets you unwind for a while and relieves the stress and pain in your shoulders and back. And then there is the constant need to build up our immunity to be protected from various infections. If you have suffered from viral fevers, colds, coughs, etc., you may be prone to premature graying of hair. So pay attention and take appropriate vitamin supplements to stay healthy.
How to prevent premature gray hair
If you don't have a regular hair care routine, you should implement it immediately. It's time you paid more attention to your beauty instead of reserving it for special occasions. You will only see results if you care for your hair and skin regularly and diligently. Here are some of my tried and tested recipes from my beauty repertoire to breathe new life into your hair.
Amla powder
Heat a cup of amla powder in an iron vessel until it turns into ash. Add 500ml coconut oil and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes. Let it cool and stand for 24 hours, then strain it into an airtight bottle the next day. Use this mixture as a hair oil massage twice a week.
Curry leaves
Take a bunch of curry leaves and grind them with 2 teaspoons of Amla powder and 2 teaspoons of Brahmi powder. Apply this mixture to hair as a hair mask, making sure to cover the roots. Leave on for one hour and rinse with a mild herbal shampoo.
Indigo and henna
Indigo or Neel is a natural dye that has been used to color hair since ancient times. It produces a bluish-black color and can be mixed with henna to cover gray areas and give hair a darker color.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil and lemon juice mixed together can darken hair. The combination of these two substances causes a chemical reaction that naturally darkens hair over time. So make the most of it and get started.Coconut oilCoconut oil and lemon juice mixed together can help darken hair.
Black tea
Black tea is another effective ingredient that can prevent gray hair. I have used it as a conditioner after shampoo, made a shampoo out of it and also used it as a mask. Take a tea infusion, about 200ml, and use it as a leave-in conditioner for your hair after shampooing. You can also soak black tea leaves in warm water for 2 hours and grind them into a smooth paste. Mix it with a little lemon juice and apply it as a hair mask for 40 minutes before rinsing your hair.
Insider tip: herbal mixture
This herbal blend is great for slowing down the graying process and you can easily make it at home. Take 1 teaspoon of amla powder, 2 teaspoons of black tea, 1 teaspoon of strong coffee, half a centimeter of khadira, a piece of walnut bark, 1 teaspoon of indigo, 1 teaspoon of brahmi powder and 1 teaspoon of triphala. Add all ingredients to 2 liters of water and cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Allow it to cool and strain into an airtight bottle. Apply the mixture to the hairline for 30 minutes before shampooing and you will notice a noticeable difference in hair color.
